Current responsibilities:
- Formation & handholding of Millets FPOs as agri-startups
- Entrepreneurship development through consultancy & training
- Capacity building of national & international millet stakeholders in processing & value addition
- Promotion of millets in non-millet growing regions through innovative extension & research
- Developing linkages among millets producers and consumers
Recent 3 major contributions:
- Formed and incubated 40 Millet FPOs with market linkages in 4 states (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Madya Pradesh)
- Established Millet Processing cum Custom Hiring Centers at farmgate level.
- Organized 100+ trainings/workshops and delivered 60+ invited lectures
- Conducted more than 200 exposure visits for farmers, students, entrepreneurs.
- Established Model Millet Processing Unit at IIMR
