  • Breeding for higher yield and quality in Proso millet (Panicummiliaceum L.).
  • Genetic improvement of forage sorghum for higher biomass and fodder quality.
  • Hybrid breeding in forage pearl millet for genetic enhancement of biomass and fodder quality.
  • Intellectual Property Management at the Institute and Nodal officer for ZTMC

  • Two proso millet entries contributed in AICRP on small millets for all India testing.

  • Collaboration with Assam Agriculture University for developing forage hybrids suitable for NEH region of India. The project aims at using Genomic selection methodology for developing forage sorghum hybrids.
